Today, our cinema group went to see ‘The Amateur’, starring Rami Malek and Laurence Fishburne, and we all enjoyed it, although one member fell asleep for part of it, and another thought it was a bit slow in places.
I enjoyed the pace of it and the tension contained with it.
Ultimately, it is a story of a security analyst discovering that his wife had been killed as a result of rogue CIA operations, and he took action himself to bring his own form of justice to her killers and bring down the rogue CIA operations in the process.
I gave it a score of 9/10.
