Participation – Now

what if life were to
move slowly
travelling through time
in new silence
if we had a change
of presence
experiencing more fully
understanding that
nothing is
as it was
before
and what if nothing will
ever
be the same again
will that begin
the transition
from observer
to participant

how would it be
if we stopped counting
and if there was no need
to jump
to the next thing
and the next
if we stay with the silence
and embrace the slow
what if there was
no need to know
everything there is
to know about
anything
what if nothing needs to be
completed
if we experience everything
in the moment
moment
by
moment

and if we encounter
ourselves
along the way
how would it be
if we stopped commenting
on how we were
a time ago
and stopped wondering
how we might turn-out
and start to notice
instead
how we are now
how well can we
notice
without judging
and can we live
with the silence
and embrace the slow
without needing to know
what else there is

can we take our lives
as we live them now
and somehow make room
for periodic silence
can we begin
to know ourselves
as we truly are
and celebrate
our existence
as we take our place
as a participant
in our world
