I see you reach for the stars and leap over mountains, whilst I plod along, day after day. I am glad that we have each found our own way to journey through life.
I’m fond of saying “Horses for courses!” or “Do what works well for you, provided that you do no harm to others or yourself”, whilst others just say “You do you, and I’ll do me”. It amounts to the same thing.
There are many paths to choose on the journey, many ways to either find or lose ourselves.
Once I kept looking for ideal solutions, ignoring the gold lying around me in plain sight.
Now, I no longer chase hedonistic thrills, choosing satisfying contentment, and embracing the slow life, instead.
Friends of 40 years, we touch base weekly, having found ways to respect and accept, instead of challenging and objecting.
World peace takes many forms.
