23 February 2026 – ‘Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die’ gave us the weird inner brainscape of Gore Verbinski, something not to be encountered lightly. The film was enjoyed by all of us, but although there were some lighthearted moments, it was, nonetheless, a complex and intense experience.
Verbinski was behind some pretty famous works, such as ‘Mouse Hunt’, ‘The Ring’ and the first three ‘Pirates of The Caribbean’ films. He was also behind the very famous Budweiser advert of croaking frogs.
Thus, for our little cinema club, to find it a bit weird, but enjoyable, seems like an appropriate response.
